Ligurian Pesto

Pesto
Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh basil leaves
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3/4 cup parmesean cheese grated
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 pine nuts
- 1 lb Trofie style pasta noodles
Instructions
- blend all ofthe ingredients ( except noodles} in a Vitamix blender
- Cook 1 pound Trofie noodles, drain, and toss with the fresh pesto
Notes
In the Ligurian Region of Italy is where Pesto originated. It is always served on Trofie Style noodles
